The American Academy of Sleep Medicine Conflict of Interest Management System manages:

  1. Disclosure and Resolution of Conflicts of Interest in CME Educational Activities

As a sponsor accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the American Academy of Sleep Medicine must ensure balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor in all its sponsored educational activities. All speakers are expected to disclose and resolve any financial interest or other relationship relevant to the topic of their presentations held by the individual or members of their family over the preceding twelve months with a commercial interest. A commercial interest is any entity producing, marketing, re-selling, or distributing health care goods or services consumed by, or used on, patients.

This Web site is designed to manage the disclosure and resolution of conflicts for individuals presenting at educational activities for which the AASM is providing CME credit.

  2. Disclosure and Resolution of Conflicts of Interest for AASM Committees and the AASM Board of Directors
